Information is presented in simple paragrphs with accompaning photographs. Animal groups are organised into In the Air, On the ground, and In the Water. There are printable worksheets for each catergory and an excellent dictionary. Word meaning are written in siple sentences suitable to support descriptive repot writing.

Kidcyber is particularly useful when using the Interactive whiteboard to locate and highlight keywords and facts.

This Australian Museum developed site provides clear information about invertebrates. The invertebrate guide provides excellent photos and labelled sketch of both often seen and secretive invertebrates.
National Geographic
This website is of great value to students looking for information on animals, the environment, science and people and places. Search each section alphabetically. Each animal page has information, photos, a map and fast facts. Environment pages have photos, information and articles about a range of environmental matters.

Teachers should consult the school scope and sequence for activities relevant to science units of work. The activities are equally valuable for student learning with when used with an Interactive whiteboard or individual workstation.

Although there maybe some repetion in units presented the material provides for every aspect of teaching and learning i.e. printable cloze passages, additional web links for further research and online reasearch tasks.
